Hair Transplant Pricing

Every hair transplant is different, so the cost is too. Here’s what shapes the price, what’s included, and how to get a personalised estimate.

Transparent, tailored pricing

Why your quote is personal, not a price list

Because every case is different, the price of an FUE hair transplant depends entirely on your graft count, donor supply and goals — not a flat fee. That’s why we don’t publish a starting figure: a single number can’t reflect what your procedure actually needs, and we’d rather give you an accurate quote than a misleading one. Your exact quote is provided after a clinical assessment: clear, itemised, and explained in full, with finance options available to help spread the cost. There’s no obligation at any stage. Our online and photo assessments are free; the in-clinic 3D scalp analysis and consultation carries a fee that is fully refunded against the cost of any hair transplant procedure you have with us.

Value, Not Just Price

What the price actually reflects

The cost of a transplant isn’t just the grafts — it’s what stands behind them: a measured plan, a doctor’s hands, and one procedure done right the first time.

Objective planning, not a guess

Your donor supply and graft plan are measured with TrichoLAB before a number is ever quoted — so what you’re paying for is based on your scalp, not an estimate.

A doctor’s hands, not a hand-off

Dr Alex or Dr Ranadi personally performs your procedure, working alongside the trained team — the doctor who plans your treatment also performs it.

One outcome, not two procedures

Getting the graft count and placement right the first time avoids the cost — and the disappointment — of needing corrective work later. See Risks & Recovery.

What Influences Your Cost

The factors behind your quote

Number of grafts

The single biggest factor. How many follicular units you need depends on your degree of hair loss, donor supply and goals.

Treatment area

Restoring a small area of temple recession differs from rebuilding a full hairline or crown — larger areas need more grafts and time.

Hair characteristics

Texture, thickness, curl and the contrast between hair and scalp all affect how much coverage each graft provides.

Complexity

Previous procedures, scarring, donor quality or uneven loss patterns can require more detailed planning.

Your density goals

Whether you want a subtle improvement or maximum coverage influences the number of grafts — and sometimes the number of sessions.

Objective 3D planning

Your donor capacity is measured with TrichoLAB rather than estimated, so the plan — and the quote — is grounded in real data.

All procedures carry risk. The above is general information, not medical advice. Suitability and costs are determined at a consultation with an AHPRA-registered doctor.

What’s Included

Everything your care includes, start to finish

Your quote isn’t just for a day in theatre — it covers the full journey around it, from your first assessment to the months of follow-up after:

  • Objective 3D assessment with the doctor — your donor supply and hairline measured with TrichoLAB, not estimated by eye
  • Pre-procedure planning — a hairline design and graft plan built around your goals
  • The FUE procedure itself — performed personally by Dr Alex or Dr Ranadi, hands-on with the trained team
  • A no-shave option, where clinically suitable — only your donor area needs shaving, so you can keep the top of your head at length
  • A first-week check-up — so any early concerns are caught and addressed quickly
  • Aftercare guidance and progress reviews at 3, 6 and 9 months — support that continues well beyond the day of surgery

Payment Options

Flexible ways to pay

Cost shouldn’t be a barrier to good care. Alongside standard payment, 3D Hair Transplant offers flexible payment plans through third-party finance providers, so eligible patients can spread the cost over time.

$

Pay upfront

Standard payment by card or approved method at the agreed stages of your treatment.

Payment plans

Spread the cost with a third-party finance provider — subject to their eligibility criteria and approval.

Clear quote first

You’ll receive a full, itemised quote before committing, so nothing about the cost is unexpected.

Once you have your personalised quote, our team can show you what it looks like as a weekly repayment with an approved finance provider — so you can weigh up the options with real numbers, not an estimate based on someone else’s procedure.

Finance is provided through third-party lenders. Eligibility criteria, fees and approval apply. Payment plans are not a recommendation or endorsement of treatment and do not imply suitability or guaranteed outcomes. All treatments are subject to medical assessment.
